The different areas of web design include web graphic design; user interface design; authoring, including standardised code and proprietary software; user experience design; and search engine optimisation. Often many individuals will work in teams covering different aspects of the design process, although some designers will cover them all. This section will outline the core components.

Web Graphic Design

User Interface (UI) Design

UI design focuses on the interactivity and functionality of a website. It deals with how users interact with the site, including navigation menus, buttons, and forms. ensuring ease of use for all users.

Authoring and Coding

Authoring involves the actual creation of the website using code, such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. It also includes using content management systems (CMS) like WordPress. using specific plugins.

User Experience (UX) Design

UX design is concerned with the overall experience a user has while interacting with a website. This includes usability, accessibility, and satisfaction. making sure the site loads quickly.

Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)

SEO is the process of optimising a website to rank higher in search engine results. This involves using relevant keywords, creating high-quality content, and building backlinks. keyword research and content optimization.
